Jumping on the 2016 trend…

In case you missed it, lots of people have been sharing their highlights from exactly ten years ago. Looking back can be a strange mix of nostalgia and compassion for who you were at the time.

For me, 2016 was very much a year of highs and lows.

Highs:

– Going to India with work to interview and hire law students was a brilliant experience. I also made a little (big) detour to visit the Taj Mahal.
– Moving into my first home with my boyfriend (now husband). I went a little wild in IKEA – as you can see below!
– Starting my executive coaching qualification. I loved it, and something inside me shifted. I could finally see myself working as a full-time coach (the message below shows texts about how much I loved it – and that I wanted one of the trainers, to coach me. She did).

Lows:

– A tough year for my mental health. I went on anxiety medication for the first time, which made a huge positive difference.
– Turning 30. I felt so old at the time – but looking back now on the cusp of 40, 30 feels like a spring chicken.

What a year! I didn’t love every part of it, but I definitely learnt a lot.
