8 years in, 8 years out ⏳

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since setting up my own coaching business, after spending the same amount of time in the corporate world.

In some ways, it still feels so recent that I left. There are things I miss – the awards dinners, the office perks, and being part of a team.

But mostly I’m grateful for the freedom, flexibility, and huge career satisfaction that coaching brings.

I loved working in recruitment. And parts of it really aligned with my strengths, and core values of growth and connection. 🪴

But being able to take what I learned – and the parts of my job that I loved – and turn it into a business I’m passionate about has been the best part.

Being self-employed is not without its challenges (disappointing maternity allowances for a start!) but here is where I’m meant to be.

Here’s to the next 16 years!
